Chicken soup really does have some health promoting benefits and should be a regular part of your weekly menu in winter. The cystine in the chicken thins the mucus in the lungs, and so helps to loosen mucus making it easier to expel.

By adding onion, garlic and ginger you add immune boosting properties. Add carrots and you have a great source of beta-carotene, which helps your body fight off infections.

A simple food, easy to make, delicious to consume, and amazingly healthy!  If you want a copy of my chicken soup recipe please fill in your details on our contact form here and I will email it to you.
